The General Assembly and Conventions traditionally convenes every four years, bringing together Nazarenes from around the world. Various components of this quadrennial gathering include legislative sessions (election of general church leadership and ratification of resolutions), worship services, exhibits, workshops, service projects, and fellowship. While voting is restricted to only those officially-elected delegates, participation in the events of the General Assembly and Conventions is open to the general public.

Delegates and visitors will also interact through multiple equipping workshops and will enjoy perusing the Exhibit Hall. Event participants will gather nightly for times of corporate worship, music, and inspiration.

The General Assembly delegates serve as the “supreme doctrine-formulating, lawmaking, and elective authority of the Church of the Nazarene” (Manual 300). These delegates, evenly distributed between clergy and lay persons, will elect denominational leaders for the next four years. Additionally, they will enact strategic legislation designed to further the denomination’s priorities through compassionate ministries, education, and congregational development.
